Industry 4.0 generally refers to a business production and management model whose main features are the connection between physical and digital systems, and complex analytics for Big Data processing and real-time adaptations.
In other words, this means the use of machinery connected to the web, analysis of information obtained from the network and the possibility of a more flexible management of the production cycle.

At Cresseri, we chose the path of automation a long time ago. In fact, we decided to automate our factory through the automatic registration of job orders, thanks to the introduction of new software and robotics.

This system allows each order to be automatically registered, ensuring the collection of both “time” and “execution mode” data. Consequently, each order can be monitored in real time through software directly connected to the production machines.

What advantages does this bring?

First of all, a reduction in processing times, the planning of the operator’s working time, optimisation of costs for the customer and, of course, closer monitoring of processing times, which in turn allows for better scheduling of deliveries in order to guarantee greater reliability. In addition, it offers a higher quality of work to customers, resulting in greater efficiency that clearly translates into a much higher quality product for the end user.

Our industry 4.0 project, which we have named “Cresseri 4.0,” enables us to consolidate the distinguishing features, characteristics and strengths that our customers have come to appreciate from us, such as:

  • Punctuality
  • Machining precision

Today, talking about Factory 4.0 and 4.0 technologies ultimately means talking about a model that sees all the information necessary for production contained inside the objects (products) and machines. This production process will include everything that is necessary to make the actual product, and the machines will be able to coordinate themselves by sharing information and dividing the work, also in terms of calculation and control.
